2007 San Diego Comic-Con News: “SAW V” NEWS, “SCANNERS” RE-MAKE

2007 San Diego Comic-Con News: “SAW V” NEWS, “SCANNERS” RE-MAKE

At yesterday’s Lionsgate Preview Panel, during the presentation for the upcoming “Saw IV,” it was revealed that they’re already planning a “Saw V.” The fifth film in the franchise will be without director Darren Lynn Bousman, whose next film will be a “rock opera” called “Repo,” and that project will be followed up by a re-make of Cronenburg’s classic “Scanners.”

Yeah, we were both underwhelmed and disturbed too. Kind of takes the suspense away from all these “Saw” films when you know there’s a new one coming every year, and Cronenburg’s “Scanners” is just fine as is. Sigh…
