John Turturro’s film “Romance and Cigarettes” has seen its ups and downs. It has been successful over seas but hasn’t seen much play in America. That is until The Jesus himself decided to self distribute the film.
The $11 million dollar musical with an all-star cast including James Gandolfini and Kate Winslet, has garnered multiple awards but really hasn’t seen distribution since its debut in ’05.
The film had distribution through MGM, but now it will go to Turturro entirely and be released in New York on September 7th.
