MCFARLANE AND HIS OZ
Sometime back, “Spawn” creator and toy mogul Todd McFarlane came out with a line of figures based on a twisted world of “Wizard of Oz” where Dorothy was in bondage and chained by crazed Munchkins. Now it is being reported that McFarlane is responsible for pitching a darker take on OZ to Warner Bros. who may be interested in making it…
The script from McFarlane’s pitch will most likely come from “A History of Violence” scribe Josh Olsen. Yet Olsen says he doesn’t want to make the film as dark and creepy as McFarlane’s toys. In fact he says he wants to make it a re-make to the classic film and make it a PG film. So this one should be interesting.
