“THE BAD NEWS BEARS” TOGETHER AGAIN
It’s sort-of hard to sum up the magic that is the 1976 feature “The Bad News Bears”. It’s definitely a kids movie…with some drinking and swearing thrown in. The film’s tagline does a decent job of explaining the “Bears” mystique: “The coach is waiting for his next beer. The pitcher is waiting for her first bra. The team is waiting for a miracle. Consider the possibilities.”
“The Bad News Bears” will screen this [ Saturday, January 6th ] at [ 10AM ] as a part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Children First program. The show will take place at the Fiesta Five Theatre, located at 916 State Street in Santa Barbara, and will cost you and your pint-sized companion of choice [ $1 ] .
