LORD OF THE RINGS STATUES TO DEBUT
Sideshow, Inc. and Weta Workshop have joined forces to create a new line of collectible statues based on many of the legendary characters from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. A bonus? Weta Workshop is responsible for special effects for all three of the upcoming films, which means every figure detail will bear professional accuracy and true-to-character design.
From Raving Toy Maniac:
“The 1:16 scale statues are hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted. The display base has been etched with the map of Middle Earth and also include the Lord of the Rings logo, the character’s name and sculptor’s signature. These are authentic replications of the film’s central characters and each figure has been endorsed by the actor who portrayed the character on film.”
