MASTER MERLE RETURNS TO THREATEN
Associate editor Merle Bertrand rejoins the Film Threat staff following an extended absence in which he served as first assistant director on the feature film “Master of the Game.” Directed by Jeff Stolhand (“Seeking the Cafe Bob,” “What I Like About You”), produced by Dirk Higdon (“Lone Star State of Mind,” “Certain Guys”), and written by and starring Uygar Aktan, the gripping psychological drama tells the harrowing story of a group of escaped Jewish concentration camp prisoners trapped in a cabin with four Nazis during a winter storm in the closing days of World War II.
Currently in post-production, “Master of the Game” was the first independent production to shoot at the new Austin Studios facility, as well as the first Austin independent feature film to shoot in 24P Hi-Definition video.
