According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedian Jay Mohr will play former Republican National Committee chairman Lee Atwater in a feature adaptation of the John Brady novel “Bad Boy: The Life and Politics of Lee Atwater.”
“This is an important story not just politically speaking but also because Lee shows all of us that it is possible for one person to enter a situation and drastically change the way the world works before exiting it,” producer Brian Volk-Weiss told the trade.
Atwater died of an inoperable brain tumor in 1991.
