POWELL AND PRESSBURGER AT THE CINEMATHEQUE
From May 2nd through May 9th, 2002, The Egyptian Theatre and American Cinematheque in Los Angeles will pay homage to the unique writing/directing/producing partnership of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. “A Matter of Life and Death: The Films of Powell and Pressburger” will serve as both a tribute and retrospective of the duo’s incredible films.
Included in the Cinematheque line-up are The Edge of the World, The Red Shoes and the stunning Black Narcissus. Several other Powell and Pressburger films will also screen, so be sure to check the full event schedule over at the official Cinematheque site.
