HELP A FILMMAKER AT CANNES 2002
We here at Film Threat believe in helping out fellow filmmakers, and now’s your chance to do the very same. Here’s Eric’s story:
Variety ran a campaign last month seeking submissions for a contest called “Pitch Me.” They asked for a short query letter pitching a feature film. Fortune has rained down upon my head and I’ve been picked as one of five people who will pitch their film idea to a panel of development execs and producers at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
Unfortunately, I’ve gotta pay my own way so I’m looking for some cheap digs for the first week of the fest. If you’ve got a spare room, cot, carpeted floorspace, and want to help out a fellow struggling filmmaker, send me an email.
Think you can lend a hand? Eric can be reached at ebly@mindspring.com.
