ALAMO HOSTS ORIGINAL “INSOMNIA”
From June 24th through June 26th, 2002, Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse will screen the original 1997 “Insomnia” by filmmaker Erik Skjoldbjærg.
As you may already know (thanks to the remake), the film centers on two criminal investigators arrive in a town in the north of Norway to help the local police solve the murder of a young girl, when a second murder crops up and sets the stakes even higher. “Insomnia” (1997) stars Stellan Skarsgaard, Sverre Anker Ousdal and Maria Bonnevie.
The Drafthouse’s schedule is updated on a monthly basis, and the official Alamo Drafthouse website is the best place to look for showtimes, synopses and more.
