“MATRIX” OVERLOAD NEXT YEAR
According to Variety, both Matrix sequels will be released next year. “The Matrix Reloaded” is set to be released May 15, 2003, which oddly enough is a Thursday. Then, only a short seven months later, “Matrix Revolutions” will be released around Christmas time.
“Matrix Reloaded” was originally set to be released on May 16th, but Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros. executive VP had a bright idea by moving the release date up a whole day. “There’s a pent-up demand for the movie, and we want to get it out there as soon as we can,” said Goldstein. “It’s already an event, but we wanted to make it more pronounced.” Yep, that’ll show ‘em.
