THREE MONTHS OF EL RIO OUTDOOR CINEMA
On August 6th, September 3rd and October 1st, El Rio Outdoor Cinema proudly presents Microcinema’s Independent Exposure program of short films, videos and digital works from around the world.
Marking another evolution in the collaboration that El Rio Outdoor Cinema has traditionally maintained with international curators and touring festivals, such as Madcat Women’s Film Festival, and distributors such as Canyon Cinema, the El Rio Outdoor Cinema will be presenting a three month series of San Francisco’s newest alternative monthly film program, Independent Exposure, produced and curated by Microcinema International who started the program seven years ago in Seattle until recently moving to San Francisco.
In keeping with the tradition of presenting the best in hard-to-find and alternative cinema that has been the mainstay of the El Rio Outdoor Cinema, the Independent Exposure series will bring new and unique programming to the venue and offer San Francisco audiences a compelling look into the creative energies of short film, video and digital media directors. The August 6th program will present the Night Life Edition of Independent Exposure and will feature 17 short films, videos and digital works from around the globe.
