ANIME GETS JUMBO WELCOME IN NEW YORK
It’s not enough that through August 30th to September 2nd New York will be crawling with folks dressed as their favorite anime characters, The Big Apple Anime Fest is letting their presence known by way of the jumbo Astrovision screen in Times Square. The BAAF will display two 15-second anime segments throughout the day on the NBC Astrovision by Panasonic screen in the heart of Times Square for one week, from August 26th through September 2nd.
The BAAF, considered “the Cannes festival of Anime Manga culture, will show anime clips from some very special titles on the Astrovision screen, including much anticipated world premiere and exclusive sneak preview titles from TriStar Pictures and Dreamworks as well as classic titles from companies such as Central Park Media.
