THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO THIS WEEKEND
The American Cinematheque presents a two day tribute to Gerry Anderson, the creator of the SuperMarionated “Thunderbirds”, this weekend (August 23-24) at the Egyptian Theatre.
Gerry Anderson will be present at the event, which will include special screenings of some of Anderson’s best-loved works, followed by Q&A sessions with Gerry himself. Perhaps there will be an uproar over the Jonathan Frakes directed live-action version of “Thunderbirds” and a fight will break out. We can only hope.
Tonight, August 23rd, screenings begin at 7:00pm and include an episode of “Supercar”, “Fireball XL5″ and an episode of “Space:1999.”
On August 24th, screenings begin at 4:00pm and include an episode of “Stingray”, “Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons” and an episode of “Thunderbirds.”
Visit the American Cinematheque website for more information.
