2007 deadCENTER SHORT FILM! Lilah Vandenburgh’s “Bitch” is an often hilarious and occasionally poignant portrait of one young woman’s war against the inane. Bitch is the person we all want to be; when confronted with the idiot, the poseur, and the self-styled hipster, she adminsters a righteous beat-down, the sneer on her face barely wavering.

Until the day she meets Fucker, who shoplifts LPs from her store. It’s only after she chases him down that she realizes she may actually love him. Will Bitch win Fucker’s heart? Is there room in this crazy world for a relationship between two unapolgetic misanthropes? And is she really going to let that mime walk by unscathed?

“Bitch” is a real treat: a comedic little short that never falls into sentimentality or takes itself too seriously. After watching it, hopefully you’ll realize we all have a little bitch inside of us.
