PHANTOM PAIN
|
Director Neil Matsumoto tackles the subject of transgender individuals in “Phantom Pain” a beautifully shot black and white character study. Kristy Nichols is a prostitute with a difference — a penis! She decides to make a life change just as a college film professor offers her a part in serious porno film. The character study is touching and poignant and offers real insight into what life would be like as a transgender prostitute. (Hint: It’s not all good, that’s for sure.)
