Adam Sandler plays the titular “Wedding Singer”. (This is not to be confused with Neil Diamond’s “Jazz Singer”, though it’s an equally funny movie.)
The film is set around 1985, just so Adam can either sing or play every New Wave song EVER recorded. This film should break even just on the sales of all 23 volumes of its soundtrack, alone. Adam gets ditched at his own wedding and eventually falls for Drew Barrymore, who’s about to marry the wrong guy. Wacky fun ensues.
It’s charmingly bad and an excellent date film. Gratuitous Steve Buscemi. Gratuitous Billy Idol. Adam Ant says go check it out.
