STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
|
Crass and enjoyable, with the spirit of a kick-ass kegger, “Stairway to Heaven” may just be an exercise in decadence, but that’s why it’s fun. Shot with hand-held video, the film follows three buddies on a covert op to break into the Playboy Mansion on New Year’s Eve. The film is mostly night vision until the guys get into the Holiest of Holies, where it bursts into full color.
The team of Branden Williams, Sebastian Vignieri and Trevor Wright do what most guys would do in the Playboy mansion with a video camera — celeb watch and goof around with Playmates. It doesn’t take itself the least bit seriously; just a showcase of a wild night on the town. Even better is when the film ends with a naked scooter ride, only to have a fall that is worth a couple stars on the film itself.
