DARTH VADER’S PSYCHIC HOTLINE
|
*** rating if you own a Bobba Fett helmet.
Darth Vader’s Psychic Hotline might be funny to the members of the Nashville, Tennessee chapter of the Star Wars Fan Club. But for those of us that live in the real world, 5 minutes has never felt so long.
What an original idea – make a parody of “Star Wars.” By reading the title, it’s not very hard to figure out what this short is about. It’s about Darth Vader and his Psychic Hotline. He takes calls from people all over the Galaxy, like the one he takes from Princess Leia, who calls up to complain that her boyfriend has been encased in carbonite. Vader then takes another call and then another. It’s meant to be funny stuff, but it’s painfully not.
Once again, we have been witness to the painful reminder that one should watch “Star Wars” movies, not live them.
