It would be unfair to hold Edgardo Flores’ “Ill Square” to professional-level standards, since there is nothing in this incoherent and shapeless feature film that is even vaguely professional.

This hopeless mess combines barely-conceived stories regarding a lovesick man trying to find the woman of his dreams and a bickering father and son who are convinced that a zombie invasion is happening. Or at least I think that’s what’s happening. “Ill Square” is sloppily peppered with half-baked comedy skits, enervated music video sequences with Flores wailing unintelligibly and irritating montages that look like home movie clowning.

To steal a line from police officers shooing away crime scene spectators: keep moving, there’s nothing to see here.
