“Dronez” shows the making of major talent by way of its four directors. This brief story about the Siberian test of a new type of soldier by the Russians is an adventure for the eyes and is impressive enough in its computer animation to the point that the robot doing its duty during the test before it breaks free, almost seems real. The close-ups seem to reveal a robot of cold, gray metal, and it’s really something to watch this unfold. Even the live action, which accompanies this, manages to mesh well with the computer animation. It seems altogether too brief and more clips of this would be most welcome.
