DRUM MACHINE
|
With the arrival of gray-robed Japanese figures, with over-sized headphones and an upside-down “U” hairstyle, director DC puts into motion a pretty nifty drumbeat, dictated by this weird monster who has one of these figures in its mouth. To play the drums, the group bangs its head on them. One of them has one drum, another two, and another three. The beat’s messy and ill formed at first, but soon it turns into a vivid drumming piece that’s fun to listen to. For Sundance attendees, this is a good short to take a break with. For all others, the website’s just as fun to navigate, as it is to watch this piece.
