When you’re sittin’ on the john and the toilet paper’s gone…..oh, wrong review, but it comes close. “Star Wars: Brilliant!” doesn’t have that many moments of brilliance, aping the Guinness commercials with the cut-outs that exclaim “Brilliant!” (“Drink three beers at the same time? Brilliant!”). Vader comes in when the Emperor is shooting lightning out of his finger tips and asks what he’s doing and it’s easy to see who gets the “Brilliant!” line.
Fortunately, unlike many of the other 2004 Star Wars Fan Film Awards shorts, “Brilliant!” has the advantage of having a Darth Vader voice that sounds closer to Vader. Other than that, there’s not much else to it.
