“9” is like a cross between the Brothers Quay and Tim Burton. Shane Acker’s 3-D compuer-animated short is a story of miniature-scale sack people who live in a junk yard and are hunted by a large predator. After his friend 5 dies, 9 struggles to survive in this exciting and dark work.
