The new film by Robert Morgan is rather short, only three minutes long. So this will have to be an equally compact review I’m afraid.

Story-wise, it’s about the power of cinema, and what can be born of it when mixed with genuine blood, fear, darkness and madness. A man is shooting a stop-motion film starring a toy bear and accidentally cuts his finger. The blood drips into the camera and… No, I can’t tell you. It wouldn’t be fair. Not to Morgan, not to you.

All you need to know is that what follows is as haunting and twisted and logical, let’s not forget logical, as any nightmare you’ve ever sweated through as a child. That’s the thing about the horrors in your head, they do make sense, but you have to be a bit mad to see how the puzzle fits together.

Invocation makes perfect, bloody, gory sense; and it is perfectly, bloody good.
