Combining all of Yoda’s important teachings into a swift five minutes, “The Yody Years” finds the worldwide beloved green creature attempting to help Luke by showing him footage of him in his younger days. Thus, we see a young Yoda fiddling around with a lightsaber only to turn out as a flashlight once it’s switched on, practicing with it, and messing up a couple of times as any young Padawan learner would.

This warm, adroit look at Yoda before his prime instills in us once more that not all is perfect from the beginning but becomes that way through patience, practice, and eventually success gained by all of that. “The Yody Years” have not only done Yoda right, but fandom as well. What a loving salute!
