Thankfully, Trey Stokes and his group of very large creative minds have not left us hanging as to the continuation of “Return of Pink Five, Vol. 1.” Considering that there are those obsessive fans who may want to know what Stacy (Amy Earhart) may get involved in next, he pulls a “Back to the Future, Part II” and shows what’s coming up.
And by what’s set for the second part of this most intriguing development in Stacy’s adventures, it’s about time that all of this one day sees its way toward DVD. Stacy’s still the brash, sassy, and cunning kick-ass woman she’s always been in the previous two installments, “Pink Five” and “Pink Five Strikes Back.” Though this time, she’s not held back by all the rules involved in being a Jedi. She escapes Jabba the Hutt’s palace, gets caught in a sandstorm, listens to Obi-Wan’s (Stephen Stanton) request for her to fly to the second Death Star and wreak havoc, as Luke is busy, and within all this, she meets the Emperor (Brendon Ewers), who, according to her, could use some serious moisturizers.
These “Pink Five” films have always been the rich dessert that comes after a course of Star Wars fan films during AtomFilms’ competition. Whatever comes from other filmmakers and whether or not you like those films, there’s Stacy on the way to provide enormously funny entertainment that explores avenues of Star Wars that could only come with these films being shepherded by a talented crew, extremely knowledgeable in the personalities of all these well-known characters, such as Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, and tweaking them to show facets of their personalities not readily known. But then again, they’ve never known anyone like Stacy. And we are ever fortunate for knowing the same honor, the same sense of fun, and the same awe-inspiring excitement.
Now the big question remains as to whether Stacy actually means what she says to the Emperor. Waiting is the hardest thing to do.
